CASE STUDY:
Air Show

Collaborating with other suppliers, we transform an entire airfield into a venue that caters for visitors, volunteers, emergency workers and aircrew alike for the Royal International Air Tattoo.

The Royal International Air Tattoo event is held annually in Gloucestershire and is the world’s largest military airshow in support of The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. So it is no surprise that this event draws a crowd if around 150,000 spectators.

This event is held each year in July and so during a sweltering summer, our structures provide much needed shade and hospitality space.

Event month: July

Location: RAF Fairford

Our structures

Each year we provide multiple structures to this prestigious event that make up almost 10,000 square metres of space. These structures range from Media Centres and Airfield Diners to Technozones, an Aircrew Club and everything else in between.

The Aircrew club is a private venue that our client requires tp provide hospitality to the aircrew while they can keep eyes on the show. We create this captivating space which features glazed windows and glass doors so no action is missed.

Bespoke elements

Multiple venues that we supply to this event have bespoke elements that puts us apart from others.

The Technozone features a curved PVC roof and is 120m long; complete with glass doors, access ramps, and cassette floorboards. We created this bespoke venue designed for children to visit. Our exhibition halls are eye-catching and provide a perfect event space.

Customer entry structures and info points are also required at this event however they need to stand out and be seen from the car park. As all of our kit is manufactured in-house, we are able to design and install structures with coloured PVC roofs so it is clear where spectators need to go. These colours include, red, blue, yellow and green and are tailored to meet our clients exact needs.
