CASE STUDY: Temporary shop & warehouse for Brighton & Hove FC

With plans to build a new fan zone, Brighton & Hove FC reached out to us requiring a temporary shop and pick and pack warehouse to be used whilst building works were underway.

However there was one challenge, that the ground which we needed to build on was on a huge 1 metre slope!

At Mar-Key Group, we love a challenge and got right to work, giving our client exactly what they needed.

Temporary retail space

In order to keep this solution cost effective yet not letting the quality be effected, this temporary retail space featured ABS walling, a PVC roof and reinforced cassette flooring.

To make this building more energy efficient, sensored lighting was installed so it would turn off when people were no longer in the shop. This building was also fitted with heating to keep staff and customers comfortable during the winter months.

Once branding was in place and all the units were fitted inside the structure, it looks although it was always meant to be there, working as a fully functional shop for all of their fans to purchase merchandise.

Temporary warehouse space

When it came to trying to even out the structures due to the slope, it was most challenging around the temporary warehouse area.

In order to level the structures, we put several layers of timber packing underneath, bringing the structure up to the same level height throughout.

Once the structure was complete, it was internally fit out with racking to make the picking and packing of materials easier, making a seamless transition for the operational teams.
